How many motor carriers lose operating authority each month?
FMCSA published 3,681 suspension orders nationally in June 2026, counted in dataset wb4f-neki on 2026-07-28. That is orders published, not authority lost: a served carrier has a statutory 30 days to file insurance, and the ones that file keep operating. 99.7% of notices published before their own effective date.
The two numbers are not interchangeable and this site does not publish a cure rate — the share of served carriers that file in time has not been sampled here, so no figure for it appears anywhere on the site.
